Suitable for: Exterior primer. For all wooden constructions without ground contact (wooden cladding, windows, shutters, garden houses, half-timbering, garden furniture, balconies, roof beams, doors, gates), which are subsequently to be decoratively finished with glazes, paints or varnishes (not suitable for oak or hardwoods). Preventively effective against blue stain, wood-destroying fungi (rot) and insect infestation. Improves the durability and adhesion of subsequent coats of paint, especially on highly absorbent substrates or substrates with different absorbencies. Low-odour, odorless after drying, low fiber elevation, filling of the wood pores, easy to sand. Observe important information.
Application/Processing :
- The untreated wooden surface must be clean, dust-free and dry. Completely remove film-forming old coatings.
- Stir the contents well before and during use.
- Processing temperature (incl. drying) from + 8 °C. Wood moisture not more than 15%. Humidity < 60%. Works differently on different surfaces. Test coats required.
- Do not spray product.
Paint, dip or flood the untreated wood once on all sides. Drying time at 23 °C approx. 4 hours. Protect from water during this time. The drying times can be longer for types of wood rich in substances.
Consumption: Approx. 100 - 120 ml/m², ie 1 liter of impregnation primer W218 plus is sufficient for approx. 8 - 12 m² per application depending on the type of wood and surface (planed or rough-sawn). With grooved wood, the consumption can increase (factor 2 - 3). A lower consumption influences the durability of the coating.
Cleaning: Clean the brush and painting tool with warm water and soap immediately after use.
Storage: cool but frost-free. Best before end in unopened container see yellow label on the bottom of the container.
